Species : Human Description: Normal human mesothelial cell strain LP-9 The culture was initiated on 10/1/83 by directly plating an ascites fluid cell suspension which had been stored frozen since removal from the peritoneal cavity of an ovarian cancer patient on 9/2/81 The culture medium must be supplemented with 10 nanograms/ml EGF and 04 micrograms/ml hydrocortisone The cell morphology is fibroblast-like in medium supplemented with EGF, but is epithelial-like in medium without EGF The karyotype is 46,XX; normal diploid femaleand directly supplied to your lab by Gentaur's warehouse.
